You are the GPS for your clients

You are a great coach, you are a great guide You hold your clients hand through the process to get them from where they are to where they want to be. Here’s the best definition of what you are:

You are your clients GPS 🌎

A global positioning system (GPS) shows you where you are currently, in space. A GPS also shows you the route from where you are, to your end goal/destination.

So what are, the key 🔑 points knowing that you are your clients GPS 🌎?

Firstly, knowing where someone is actually starting. Secondly, knowing what the end goal is.

If you don’t have these 2 details 100% specific then you won’t be able to create best route for your clients.

How goes GPS work

GPS takes 3 points to determine where someone’s starting point is. In the coaching example, we need to find their starting point in terms of: nutrition, exercise and mindset. Why mindset? If there aren’t ready to start the journey, then setting out the best plan in terms of nutrition and exercise is a waste of your time and theirs

👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼Ok so you are your clients GPS, what does that mean for you?

You understand there are a variety of different ways to be able to get them to their destination/goal. You set you a plan for the to get to their destination/goal in the best way possible. You understand that if they take a wrong turn you adjust their route accordingly. You inform your clients how they are progressing. Both how far they have come, and how far they have to go to their goal. Your job as the GPS is to sell them on the PROCESS to get the desitination/goal. If they don’t go through the process they wont get to the end goal Your job is to hold their hand and walk them through that process, every step of the way.

NOTE: If you tell them every step they need to take to achieve their goal up front it will be too much and they wont do anything

Your job is to tell them the next step. Walk them through that step. Then the next. Then the next. Then the next until and so on until they get to their goal/destination. Eg in 500m turn left.

What this means for your clients: When your clients are lost or need direction and support they turn to their GPS (you) for direction. Regardless of how often they take the wrong route you still set out the best route to their destination/goals.

Limitations of GPS 🌎

Just because you set out the fastest route, for them, to achieve their goals. If they don’t follow it, then it is not the best route for them.
